We are excited to introduce you to our new proprietary barrel of Old Elk Straight Wheated Bourbon. The mash bill consists of 51% Corn, 45% Wheat and 4% Barley and is aged for 5 years. The color is deep, golden amber. Aromas of honey caramel, cherries, baking spices, ripened apples, vanilla, and a note of root beer tops it off. Flavor wise, it starts with tart cherries and honey caramel. Baking spices and vanilla come in on the mid-palate, with root beer and oak tannin coming in the finish. The finish is long lasting upwards of a minute plus, with a very creamy, velvety mouthfeel.
