This blend of Viognier, Grenache Blanc, and Chardonnay aged two months in (20% new) French oak and rested in stainless steel tanks. Following powdery and sweet floral scents, notes of salted pear, tangerine peel, and jasmine create the wine’s namesake tension and lean edginess.
Fresh apple flesh, honeysuckle, and light lemon-butter aromas show on the nose of this blend of 60% Viognier, 30% Grenache Blanc and 10% Chardonnay. Lemon peel gives a fresh edge to the dried pear flavor of the palate, which also shows a steely minerality.
