You’ll make fast friends with this ‘Enemigo’ from Argentina, composed of 85% Cabernet Franc and 15% Malbec. The Cab Franc brings sweet spice, black pepper and thyme while the Malbec contributes ripe black fruit. This was made in homage to the old Pomerol style and Wine Advocate approves: “The palate is super austere with vibrant acidity – by far the highest among the Gran Enemigo bottlings – and very fine, chalky tannins. This is remarkable, serious, balanced and fresh with a very, very long and salty finish.
