Chateau Chantalouette Pomerol 750ml

Grapes: A blend of 67% Merlot, 27.5% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5.5% Cabernet Franc, 90ha estate (half under vine), sandy gravel soil, fermented in thermo-regulated concrete vats, matured in a mixture of oak barrels and large vats. Château Chantalouette is the second wine of Château de Sales. Owned by the de Lambert family for over five centuries, the 116 acre estate is the largest in the appellation.

Traditional practices in the vineyard, such as horse-ploughing and hand-harvesting, followed by meticulous winemaking, lead to beautifully crafted wines that are expressive of their terroir. Traditional racking and light egg white fining help to preserve the brightness of the fruit.
