Good everyday wine. Corriente is a tribute to an unofficial and traditional wine classification in use in Rioja during the early XXth century, which is very interesting: “Corriente” (common, everyday) wines vs. “Selecto” (select) wines. A wine that is neither deceitful nor ostentatious, Corriente is a simple and approachable wine that represents a region, its culture and of course its wine. A blend of Tempranillo, Graciano and Garnacha grapes from estate organic vineyards and winery partners. Corriente is a wine of intense color and pleasant bouquet, in which the nuances of mature fruit stand out. In the mouth it is soft, expressive, and elegant, combining a fruity character with the notes lent by the cask, in perfect balance. Telmo Rodriguez is one of the great Spanish winemakers. He travelled and learnt for many years before returning home to Rioja and today he is one of the region’s finest producers.
