With roots deep in California winemaking history, Martin Ray was a pioneer of single-varietal, region-driven wines dating back to the 1940s in the Santa Cruz Mountains. Decades later, winemaker Courtney Benham revived the legacy after discovering Ray’s wines in a forgotten warehouse. Since 1990, Martin Ray Vineyards & Winery has been dedicated to crafting expressive, terroir-driven wines—now produced in the Russian River Valley and sourced from top sites across Sonoma, Napa, and beyond. The 2022 Sonoma Cabernet is a perfect example of this legacy in the glass.
